Congratulations to our Professor Valsamma Eapen on being awarded nearly $5 million worth of research grants.
Professor Eapen is Director of the Ingham Institute’s Child Health Academic Unit. As the Principal Chief Investigator on a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Neurological Grant, she will lead the team (with the Institute’s Professor Raghu Lingam, A/Professor Susan Woolfenden, Conjoint A/Professor Shanti Raman) in trialling the use of a tiered care model including technological innovations for equitable access to early identification of child developmental needs and integrated health and social care.
Professor Eapen is Chief Investigator (with the Institute’s A/Professor Susan Woolfenden, A/Professor Jane Kohlhoff and Professor Lynn Kemp) on an ARC Linkage Grant for Integrated Kids Hubs – Ensuring Equity of Access for Children.
Prof Eapen is also part of a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Partnership Grant (with Ingham Institute’s Professor Raghu Lingam and Conjoint Professor Angela Makris) for research assisting pregnant women to quit smoking using counselling and embedded technology.
