Matt joined Ingham Institute in November 2023 and brings over 20 years of marketing and communications experience to the organisation.

He commenced his career with Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis where he was responsible for new product launch marketing, government affairs, advocacy, and corporate media communications across a broad range of therapeutic portfolios including cardiovascular and metabolism, ophthalmology, infectious disease, and mental health.

In 2010 Matt joined online comparison service iSelect as Head of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations where he led all external consumer public relations and corporate communications and serving as the company’s chief external spokesperson to media and investors.

He then returned to healthcare in 2016 with UnitingCare Queensland (that state’s largest private provider of private hospitals, aged care, and community / NDIS services) where he led the group’s marketing, corporate affairs, media relations, government affairs, community engagement, and internal communications functions.

Matt’s most recent experience was with UK law firm Clyde & Co where he served as Director of Cyber Communications for Australia & NZ, providing incident response and crisis communications support to organisations and government agencies experiencing major cyber-attacks, critical IT incidents, and data privacy breaches.
