Midwife-led research aimed at improving outcomes for women and their babies.
The Women’s Health Initiative Translational Unit (WHITU) is a group of clinicians, midwives, scientists, allied health professionals and lived experience consumers who have a common goal: to improve women’s health through research. The goals of WHITU are to maximise equity, equality, health and empowerment for all women. This is achieved through discovery and knowledge translation of evidence informed by lived experience of women that is culturally respectful and places women at the centre.
