Michelle Wynne

Michelle Wynne joined Ingham Institute in July 2025 as Senior Project Manager before being promoted to Executive Director, Research Operations in April 2026, bringing extensive experience in operations, governance, organisational improvement, and process excellence across the private, university, and not-for-profit sectors.

Trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Michelle is passionate about making systems work better in ways that are sustainable and build capability over time. She has led major change initiatives that have improved processes, lifted performance, strengthened compliance, and delivered better experiences for staff, stakeholders, and customers.

Since joining Ingham Institute, Michelle has made a significant impact on the Operations Team. Her achievements include driving a review of the Institute’s Risk Framework and implementing a new Risk model; establishing a new Incident Reporting Framework; setting up a Project Management Framework for all major operational projects; and reviewing the Biological Resources Unit to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the facility.

Michelle is known for her practical, warm approach and her focus on delivering improvements that are meaningful and lasting.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University, a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Deakin University, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certifications.
