Melanie commenced with Ingham Institute in October 2024 as Chief People Officer.

Melanie’s passion for people comes from her desire to help others. Originally from the UK, Melanie moved to Australia in 1998 and continued her career in Human Resources which she commenced in the UK working at The St Georges Hospital in London within the Blood Service. Her first HR role in Australia however took her away from the healthcare industry and into the IT industry. Her HR leadership roles in the IT industry continued until 2016 when she took a part-time role with a Not-for-Profit organisation that provided IT infrastructure services for Universities. From then onwards, she was committed to pursuing HR leadership roles in the Not-for-Profit sector, a plan she has executed except for a short stint working as Rewards Lead for everyone’s favourite biscuit company, Arnott’s.

Melanie’s recent positions include five years working for The George Institute for Global Health with 18 months of that time as Acting Global HR Director.
