In his capacity as Managing Director for Ingham Enterprises and Bob Ingham AO’s right-hand man, John was committed to seeing Bob’s vision for a medical research facility in Liverpool come to life. John attended all events on behalf of Bob Ingham AO, and remained committed to the Ingham Institute until his retirement from the Board in October 2018.
John joined the Board as the representative of the Ingham family in February 2008 when the Institute became an independent legal entity from SWSLHD. John was the Chair of the Finance & Audit and Risk Management & Compliance Governance Committees during his term on the Board.
John’s support, commitment, expertise, and drive was invaluable to the Ingham Institute from the very start. He was heavily involved in the planning phase, and played a key role in securing the $46.9M Federal Government grant to support the construction of the Liverpool campus in 2009. Given his finance background, John was a key member of the Project Working Group, and was critical to the project planning, execution and budgetary control.
John made significant and notable contributions to the Ingham Institute’s establishment, operations, identity, reputation, strategy, relationships and progressed significant partnerships and is an inaugural Ingham Institute Legend.
