A two-day advanced training program led by Dr Ross Copping and the Liverpool Hospital Interventional Radiology team with our closest industry partners.
Held in Ingham Institute’s Centre for Robotics & Health Technology (Perich Centre), the workshop brought together some 40 trainees from across the region for an intensive program combining lectures, hands-on simulation, live demonstrations and industry showcases.
The masterclass featured the largest industry line-up hosted at the Centre since its launch, with interactive displays and simulation stations from Device Technologies, Medtronic, Sectra, Siemens, Abbott, Penumbra, Merit, Terumo and Boston Scientific.
Hands-on training was delivered through simulator sessions and four flow-model stations in the Robotics Lab, enabling trainees to practise in a controlled, high-fidelity environment. A faculty of local expert speakers also delivered didactic sessions covering topics such as fundamentals of embolisation, portal and variceal embolisation, trauma embolisation, women’s health, prostate artery embolisation, tumour embolisation, vascular malformations, non-adhesive embolics, HAE, GAE and emergency radial access.
The event marks another milestone for the Perich Centre’s growing reputation as a national hub for advanced procedural training, robotics, and medical technology innovation.
Thanks to our amazing faculty: Dr Glen Schlaphoff, Dr Ross Copping, Dr Yehia El Hgar, Dr Jules Catt, Dr Shady Osman, Dr Amer Mitchelle, Dr Chandra Annabattula, Dr Ben Reidy, Dr Bryan Barry, Dr Hao Xiang, Dr Nathan Manning.
