Surgeons Step into the Future at Groundbreaking Robotics Training

Last month, surgical innovation took centre stage at the Perich Centre for Robotics & Health Technology, where the only Surgical Robotics Training Program of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere was delivered in partnership with IMRA Surgical.

Held exclusively in NSW for 2025, the course brought together a cohort of forward-thinking surgeons from across Australia and beyond to gain hands-on experience across multiple robotic platforms. Designed by surgeons for surgeons, the program focused on practical, real-world skills that translate directly into theatre. Delivered in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built training centre, the course gave surgeons the opportunity to learn on different types of robotic systems through hands-on simulations and expert guidance.

Participants walked away equipped not only with technical skills, but with the ability to lead innovation in their hospitals and improve outcomes for patients. Many attendees described the experience as transformative – a rare opportunity to gain a competitive edge in an ever-evolving field.

This exciting event proved that the future of surgery is here – and it’s only just beginning.
