Lady Mary Fairfax Distinguished Researcher Award

$5,000

This award recognises an individual with a long-standing career in significant research achievements contributing to the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) research output as evidenced by publications, grants and/or awards, as well as coordinating, supervising and mentoring higher degree students within the SWSLHD.

Applications are invited once a year and are open to all Institute research groups.

Excellence in Teaching Award

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognises an individual with a strong level of influence who has motivated and inspired students to learn. The recipient is committed to the development of learning in the SWSLHD and development of curriculum, resources and scholarly activities that have influenced and enhanced learning and teaching.

Applications are invited once a year and are open to all Institute research groups.

Early Career Researcher Award

This acknowledges an individual who attained a PhD or other higher degree no more than 10 years ago, representing a significant contribution to a research field as evidenced by publications, grants and/or awards.

$1,000

This award is recognition of an individual and/or group that has conducted research in a research facility in South Western Sydney, with the findings relevant to the local population.

SWSLHD & Ingham Institute Research Scholarship Support Program

Four $10,000 scholarships currently available

The SWSLHD and the Ingham Institute are committed to increasing research capacity, competitiveness and productivity in South West Sydney and offer support for further education to develop research skills or support a research degree to a maximum of $10,000 per annum, per individual.

Up to four scholarships were available for the 2017 calendar year. Two scholarships to support a study towards a higher degree by course work, and two scholarships for PhD research. Scholarships are to support direct study, research and research presentation expenses and cannot be put towards stipend or living expenses.

Applications are invited once a year and are open to all students enrolled in higher degree and PhD research programs at the Institute.

Honours Scholarship

Two $5,000 scholarships currently available

The Ingham Institute is dedicated to supporting higher degree students with two Honours Scholarships funded by the Institute’s core funds available annually.

Each scholarship is $5,000 stipend to a successful student who enrols into a full-time Honours research program.

Applications are invited once a year and are open to all students enrolled into a full-time honours research program at the Institute.
