The new chief executive officer of Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research, Stephen Thompson, says he wants to lead a culture of innovation.
“I am impressed by the alignment of purpose and well-defined strategy focused on improving the health and wellbeing of our diverse and unique community in South Western Sydney,” he said.
“I look forward to developing my previous experience in the healthcare ecosystem, into the service delivery of our Ingham Institute research.
“This is only possible through our relationships with the Local Health District, our university partners, government and of course a world-class team.’’
Mr Thompson commenced with the Institute on May 22 in preparation for the retirement of long-standing CEO Darryl Harkness on June 30.
