Project Manager, Whitlam Orthopaedic Research Centre

The Whitlam Orthopaedic Research Centre (WORC) is a research group at the Ingham Institute and the South West Sydney Local Health District in Liverpool. It currently has several full and part-time researchers conducting clinical research, as well as a number of post-graduate researchers.

WORC seeks a qualified applicant to fulfil a new role of Project Manager for a funded study evaluating the costs and outcomes of spine surgery. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the team, supporting the Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Liverpool Hospital and the Directors of WORC. Specifically, the incumbent will oversee and assist in the day-to-day running of a part retrospective – part prospective observational spine surgery outcomes study. The role includes activities related to all aspects of study development and conduct, including preparation of ethics submissions, development of the study protocol, databases and documentation, involvement with patient consent, recruitment, and follow-up of eligible patients via telephone, the management of related databases, and the generation of study-specific reports.
