CONCERT Biobank

Become a donor…it’s safe …it’s easy …and it helps the fight against cancer

WHO WE ARE
The Centre for Oncology Education and Research Translation (CONCERT) Biobank is a large collection of cancer biospecimens, including tumour and normal adjacent tissue, blood and other relevant bodily fluids, which are linked to relevant health information and used as a resource for researchers to advance our understanding of cancer.

WHAT WE DO
We collect, process, store and disseminate cancer biospecimens and health information from participants diagnosed with cancer for future research into the prevention and cure of cancer.

OUR AIM
Our overall aim is to assist researchers in conducting large, population-based studies investigating the genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors associated with cancer.

OUR GOAL
Our goals are:
- To provide services and tools that support researchers in conducting cancer research.
- To educate and promote the importance of a Cancer Biobank in the community.

More information about the CONCERT Biobank can be found in the 'Become a member of the Ingham Institute Cancer Tissue Bank Program' Pamphlet.
