The Ingham Institute and South Western Sydney Local Health District will host the 10th Annual Research and Teaching Showcase on Friday 27 November 2015 at the Thomas and Rachel Moore Education Centre at Liverpool Hospital. An important event on the health calendar, this years Showcase celebrates a decade of research excellence at South Western Sydney.

The event is the venue for our doctors, nurses, researchers and students to showcase their research efforts by presenting current research studies, key findings and deliver the implications of such research programs in order for the general public to learn about new methods, techniques and developments in basic science, medicine, health care, population and community health. In addition, the event will celebrate the efforts of the research community in the South West.

The Showcase will also feature the Three Minute Thesis Competition in the Opening Plenary, a skills development activity that challenges Research Higher Degree Students to explain their research project to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes.

A large selection of health and medical abstracts in both oral and poster formats will be featured, showcasing medical breakthroughs of the Institute’s research teams as well as better treatment options on a number of critical disease areas such as Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer, Mental Health and Population Health studies.

Following on from the Research & Teaching Showcase, celebrations will continue at the Ingham Institute's Awards Dinner which will be held at the Liverpool Catholic Club from 7pm.
