The Ingham Institute partnered with South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) for the 7th Annual Research and Teaching Showcase event. Proudly supported by VWR and Roche, the event was held Friday 30 November 2012 at the Thomas and Rachel Moore Education Centre, Liverpool Hospital.

Injury Research was the highlight theme of the 2012 event, a reflection of Liverpool Hospital's reputation as being one of the major trauma centres in NSW. Ms Sue Freeman from Motor Accidents Authority (MAA), a major funder of the Ingham Institute's Brain Injury group's studies presented as one of the keynote speakers, along with Dr Tony Penna, newly appointed Director of the Office for Health and Medical Research.

A large selection of health and medical abstracts in both oral and poster formats were featured, showcasing medical breakthroughs of the Institute's research teams as well as better treatment options on a number of critical disease areas such as Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer, Mental Health and Population Health studies.
